FPV Select WorkÂ
FPV flying is not your typical DJI GPS drone flying. You wear the goggles and learn throttle control and how to dodge, duck, dive and dodge. It's like skateboarding in the air with RC.

I reached out to Newbeedrone, a company based in San Diego, CA. A cold call. I asked them if they were interested in some artwork and I was willing to accept drone items instead of payment. They happily agreed with the conditions I keep it on brand. I created assets they could use for stickers or merch–highlighting specific drones they manufacture. They hooked it up! Of course when I took my new whoop for a flight in front of my place, I got it stuck in a 4-story pine tree(yes we have pine trees in Long Beach). 4 months later coming home from a hard days work, I found it on the ground beneath that tree still in working condition.

That says something about my flying skills, but it says more about their product's durability.

FPV is a pretty involved hobby, you truly need to know what parts and specs align or you'll wind up spending way more than you bargained for. BetaFPV had some new items on the market and while doing "re$earch" I wanted to see what kind of illustration I could come up with to promote their brand. From batteries, to motors and a few quads here what I came up with. I wasn't able to capture their attention, but for me its about the joy of creating.
